What a cleaning includes

Maids in Motion has a cleaning checklist that your cleaning professional will follow. You can leave additional notes in your account after checkout, by contacting us, or by providing instructions during your cleaning. You can see our cleaning checklist here.

The following extra services are available if selected at checkout: Inside the fridge, inside the oven, green cleaning, inside windows, basement, move in/move out, laundry, and inside cabinets.

Note: To protect the safety of our professionals, we cannot perform the following: cleaning that requires climbing on ladders, exterior windows, mold removal, deep stain removal, insect and pest removal, cleaning pet messes, cleaning blinds, and items that require heavy lifting, etc.

The difference between recurring cleaning and one-off cleaning

Recurring Cleaning

Maids in Motion offers weekly, bi-weekly (every two weeks), or monthly cleaning at a discounted rate.  These cleanings are automatically scheduled on the same day and time based on the interval you select. We send a reminder email and text message to let you know of upcoming cleanings and at any time you can log in to your account to skip or reschedule service.

One-off Cleaning

You can schedule one-off cleanings at any time. Please note discounts are available for recurring cleaning (and with recurring cleaning you benefit from convenient recurring service with the same cleaning professional)

Move out cleanings

Maids in Motion offers move out cleanings as an extra priced service to reflect the extra time needed for baseboards, uncleaned carpets, and other areas that have been hidden by furniture for quite some time.   Please note that we are unable to guarantee your deposit. In addition, your cleaning professional is unable to move heavy furniture or climb ladders, as per our safety policy.

How our payment system works

Maids in Motion only accepts credit/debit card payment for service, however your card is not charged until after service is completed.  Please note that on the day before service a pre-authorization hold is made to your card. This is just a hold even though some banks may show this as a charge.  The final charge takes place after your service is completed. Click to schedule service below.

The supplies we use

Maids in Motion cleaners are equipped with safe, family and pet friendly supplies and a vacuum at no extra charge to you. Please let us know if you would like to provide your own special supplies by adding a note to your account after you book.

Green cleaning requests

If you would like to request a full green cleaning service please select this service on the booking form at checkout.

Using gift cards

Please enter the gift card code directly on our booking form at checkout and your price will be automatically updated to reflect the gift card credit.  You can also  log in to your account at any time to see your gift card value.

Using Account Credits

Enter your referral code on the booking page and the price is automatically updated to reflect your account credits.

When is your next available appointment?

Select the services you desire so we can estimate how long it will take to clean your home, and available appointments will be visible on the booking page.

Hours of Operation

Maids in Motion’s hours of operations are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Our last scheduled service starts at 4:30 pm. Click here to schedule service.

Making a team request

Please log in to you account and add your team request to your booking by leaving a comment in the notes. Alternatively, you can contact us and let us know of your preferences. Please note that we make every effort to accommodate team requests but this is dependent on team schedule, vacation and other off days, and other issues that may arise.

Why we have a two hour arrival window

Our two hour window allows us to handle the unpredictability of cleaning services. Homes are different sizes and require different levels of effort needed to make them clean. So predicting the time spent at a home is incredibly difficult. In addition, we have to deal with other unpredictable factors like traffic, weather etc. Thanks so much for your understanding.

What it will cost

Our pricing is based on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Outside of extreme cases, we do not give discounts for uncleaned rooms, or charge for extra common areas. Homes with three bedrooms and two bathrooms are priced based on average sized kitchens and bathrooms for that style of home. Since kitchens and baths generally require far more work than a bedroom, you can understand that our cleaners' workload remains significant. If you have many common rooms or a large game room, etc. we may ask you to add another bedroom onto your price. If you would like us to clean common areas only, or some other major reduction in work load, a price adjustment is also possible.
